Hello,
I need help with my 1994 automatic Honda Accord.
The car was working perfectly fine two days ago, the next day I turn it on drive about 10 feet and the check engine light turns on and the car shuts off. I turn it back on and it goes off again after a few seconds. I parked it and left it sitting there and about an hour later I go to try to turn it back on and now it wont start. It cranks and cranks as if it is going to turn on but it just wont turn over. Also the D4 light flashes. I don't know what could be wrong with it please help.

Start by getting the codes. You'll need to jump the connector, then count any flashes from the CEL, ABS, D4. Then post those back noting which light gave waht code.

Okay so I checked the codes from the D4 and turned out to be the main relay. I drove it fine then turned it off came back turned it on drove a while then the car would turn off but back on again while i was driving. I checked the codes again now the D4 flashes a repetition of 1 long 8 short 1 long 4 short. The ABS also flashes a 1 then 3 stopps then 1 3 again and repeats.

 

The main relay is an easy fix. It controls the fuel pump, so it sounds about right. You'll find it down by your left foot on the driver's side.

 

To clarify , I know the main relay was the problem so I fixed that but now the car starts but it turns on and off while I am driving and I pulled new codes which are from the D4 1 long 8 short 1 long 4 short and repeats from the ABS I also got a code it is 1 long 3 short and repeats I need help in finding out what those new codes mean thanks

 

Doing a google search the code 14 is for your Idle air control valve and code 13 is your barometric sensor.

I did not find a code 18 on any of the websites I visited
