HIDs on my EP3
There is a picture thread at the top for this sort of thing...
they look horrible sorry, it's better to do a retrofit then adding HID in non projector headlight! The light is bright but it's all over the place...

Bwahaha. If you're going to buy some **** eBay kit then at least get 4500k bulbs so it's not RICER BLUE all up in your face.
Ricer.
Also - regarding projectors vs reflector headlights.. some of the new HID bulbs have anti-glare shields built into the light bulbs which helps reduce glare with reflector housings.

I still like them no matter what. Only thing I don't like is the headlight housing. The color is fine to me. Just because they are cheap doesn't mean its not a good product. U guys ride with you dim *** lights while I blind you with mine.
Ya exactly blinding us instead of putting your lights to the right use which is to light up the street... I'll take my dim "***" lights where I can see where I'm driving
Also, enjoy pulling 18 amps on startup. ricer.
you obviously don't get what we are trying to tell you are you??? Not the little genius are we? The HID light in your head didn't light up correctly this morning?
HID in a non-projector type headlight housing looks bad and doesn't light up properly in front of you... why do you think OEM HID come in Projector Housing from factory?
All you have in a super bright light that doesn't shine like in a precise direction! Don't try to argue it... it's been proven for many years!

Quite frankly I could care less if you can see...its the cars driving on the other side of the road that cant.
In stock form, only the top half of the reflector is getting any light, illuminating downward onto the road. When you put a hid bulb in a halogen reflector, the entire reflector is illuminated, including the bottom, which shines upward. People arent bashing you because they think HIDs are garbage, theyr bashing you because you did it so incredibly wrong that its not safe.
There should be a distinct cutoff line to prevent blinding people, which you simply dont have.

I posted this thread because I was happy to get HIDs on my EP3 that I recently bought. I plan on changing the housing when I get the money.

those are halogen projectors. Big difference from HID projectors. Halogen projectors (the ones in tyc, depo, ebay) dont have the correct optics for HID bulbs. The filament for a halogen projector (generally H1 or H3 in projectors) is at different distance from the reflector part of a projector. Putting a hid bulb in a halogen projector still makes plenty of glare in most cases and has terrible output
