a lot of people will tell you that dental floss is a good way of removing emblems. I've never actually tried this method.. usually if you can manage to pull up one edge of the emblem with your fingers you can pull it off. be prepared to use some solvent or adhesive remover to get the sticky off.
as for pictures, i don't have any.. my civic emblem is still installed.

Yes, they should be the same for the "bubbled back ends". As for removing the emblem without marring your paint job, take it off with a platic bondo blade and then remove the excess glue with Adhesive and tar remover. There are two "clips" holding the emblem in place that have to be removed in order for the emblem to be freed from the bodywork (pictured here in this Civic Si Emblem diagram) so ensure that you remove these first and foremost

Dental floss actually works quite well. Nice trick, though, is to take a blow-dryer (if you don't happen to have a heat gun around) and wave it over the emblem for a couple minutes. Serves to loosen the sticky a bit. Then zip the dental floss and you're done. Goo Gone, lemon oil, gasoline... used 'em all over the years lol Just remember to re-wax the panel and you're good to go.
