Default 1996 Honda Accord F22B1 VTEC EX

Hi everyone
I am new to this turbo deal... i have a 96 Honda accord that i am wanting to boost later this year i am trying to stay street legal too. will boosting my honda cause me a check engine light? because i live in a tough emissions state i am trying to figure out a way around this.

wwell if i were you i would go vtec turbo the vtec in are car go for five hundo buy on turbo it and call it done a turbo for it would go anywhere from a ebay turbo kit (under $1000) anywhere else you will spend to much money. dont be puting a disco potato on your accord all you need is maybe just a t3/t4 turbo and call her done!

i have a VTEC accord what i am wondering is because i live in a inspection requires state will me slapping on a turbo ruin my emissions? see u have a 94 and the emissions laws are for 96 and newer... maybe i should get a 95 but i like mine lol.

I'm assuming you living California redbullet. If you install a turbo, the state ref will automatically fail it because the state stopped issuing CARB Legal stickers. There's really only 2 ways I know of. Identical car with similar options from Japan or knowing someone who can hook you up. I wouldn't want to have to remove the setup every other year to get an emission test. But good luck.
