Default measuring clutch pedal

i have ACT clutch kit with a heavy duty pressure plate and 8.6lbs. flywheel. they said to leave the clutch pedal adjustment to oem specs. i know how to adjust it with the push rod and pedal stopper (free play adjustment) and i have the oem specs. my question is with a ruler or measuring tape how do you measure the pedal height, the disengagement height, clutch pedal stroke, and pedal free play, i have pics as well. do you measure it on the side of the pedal or at the bottom? and do measure it removing the floor mat, behind the carpet, the cushion behind the carpet, or to the sheet metal sometimes you don't have to adjust beyond oem specs when installing a performance clutch kits but the majority of the times you do when installing a clutch master cylinder.
