Default converting a 88 crx to 90-91 door moldings question

Quick question:

I am installing a JDM EF8 SIR front end and a 90/91 rear bumper. Can I just install 90/91 CRX moldings along the side of the crx to make the moldings match all around?

A quick search showed that they are thinner, but I am not sure if they are a different size?

Basically, will they fit, and if so, will they leave a gap vs. the old moldings? Or will it look stock?

Thanks!

you have the right idea, the 90-91 moldings are a better fit. no they will not leave a gap. post pics of the front end!
