Default 98 Accord Transmission Issue!!!

I have a 1998 Accord Coupe MT. Sometimes when I shift into gear its like something is pushing the shifter back into neutral. Almost like if you have something blocking it. It eventually will go into gear but sometimes i take like 10 seconds to go from 2nd to 3rd or 1st to 2nd just because of this! Anyone have any idea of what this could be? Please Help!

bad synchro/fork? We dont know how this vehicle has been driven. Assuming you described as "blocked", sounds like it won't go into gears smoothly.

Its a daily driver that has 173,000 miles on it. Hasn't really been beaten on.

Clutch and synchro is different. Synchro is in the transmission. Transmission that is hard to shift in more than one gear, but not all gears mostly likely has internal problems. Possible causes could be debris, a detent ball-spring or bolt, shift linkage, shift fork or synchronizer assembly.
Quick visual check, check if there's debris blocking the lever assembly movement. This could cause difficulty in shifting. Also check cables while you're there. If there's kink in the cable, or if the cable is worn or damaged, the shift lever needs to be pushed or pulled with more force.
