Ok so i want to repaint my car because it is all peeling and scratches and chips all over the place. I was just wondering what are some GOOD spray guns out there. I have heard many people say the quality of the work is the quality of the tools. So i want some gun that is a good quality. I dont have anything at all except for a air compressor. So i would need the gun/guns. Can someone give me and idea at what brands i should be looking at?? Or what kinda of guns??
P.S. Do i need three different guns for primer, base, and clear coats?? If so, can you guys let me know a package deal with all three guns?? Thanks a bunch you guys.

I am definitely new to this car painting, but i want to get into auto body here soon, so i want to paint my car myself. I know a few people that paint cars for living and they could help me out along the way.

 

you dont really need different guns, but different tips would be nice. i sprayed my car with 2 guns. one for primer and one for base and clear but i used two different tips for the base and the clear. any type of hvlp gravity feed gun will do the job but read reviews before buying. my buddy has a 1000 dollar gun that he hates and he uses his 200 dollar gun for everything and he shoots flawlessly.

 

also, with painting, the quality of work is not so much in the tools you use, its all in the prep work.

 

Ok, but can you point me to some different guns?? because i dont even know of any gun brands, and no good ones. So if you can point me to some brands that would be awesome.
