Damn I got played big time
I always wanted a ITR and my chance came a month ago when I was on auto trader and a *family* owned dealer had a 01 PY ITR with only 8 thosand miles for only 21500. So of course I was the happiest man alive. Car faxed it and it came out clean. My credit got approved and I was driving down to NYC from boston to trade in my 00 EBP Si in for the itr. I came down there and the car looked perfect at the time when I seen it in the showroom and when I drove it home. After a couple of days of owning it, I noticed there was some major problems with the car. The reason I didnt get to get it to get looked by a mechanic is I was 4 hours away from home and I jus didnt know any places around nyc to get it looked at, and plus I guess I was too excited about finally gettin my ITR. My mechanic at home took a look at it and told me its been hit in the front left fender pretty hard because when he looked under the hood, he could see where they welded the frame together and it was cracking, whole car was repainted and there was a ton of over spray, The engine was making some really odd sounds which I thought all all ITRs make because of no sound deadening materials, the tranny all of a sudden sometimes wouldnt let me go into first gear, speakers in the back were blown, atenna wouldnt go up or down,No ITR number jus black, hole in interior near the back, leakin power steering hose,my header heatshield was silver instead of black.Well I'm happy to say I called them up and threatened them about the issues and they let me get my money back but I sold them my SI and gave me the difference I owed the bank(So I didnt have to worry about insurance and car payments for the Si)It took me actually a month to get over this ordeal, I couldnt eat or sleep for that one whole week when I had that ITR.
Well now Im driving a 89 crx for the time being so I can save up for either another ITR or a brand new s2000.I know it was all of my fault for being dumb but at least I learned a big lesson in life
Thanks for anyone that actually read this long story

Sorry to hear that. i was suprised to see that you got your money back. At least you got the privelage of driving an R for a while.... goodluck finding another one.
That sucks dude but, hopefully it all worked out?
Do me a favor and post or IM me the VIN,,, Reason being is that I sold a salvaged PY over a year ago that was pretty done and even though my conversation with the guy was clearly that the car's title said SALVAGE, he mentioned about fixing it up and selling it... I'm curious if mine was yours, just fixed up and sold again. I had removed the ITR number plate, and thieves in the salvage yards had removed a few other things for me, unfortunately...
You list the VIN and I'll check my paperwork.
Again, sorry for your troubles and it does truely Suck when anyone gets taken for a ride by scumbags...
A.
PS I sold mine in the NYC area Clearly for SALVAGE ONLY... The frame was severely bent in the front and rear. So No slander please.

Check your Insurance papers, your old Registration papers, your Title papers,, you must have some of it left.
Just to satisfy my curiosity...
Or just lay it to rest, I can understand that as well...
Again, sorry for your problems, good luck in the future...

you could sue them big time for not telling you anything that was up with the car that they already knew about.
