Viper DEI 210V discontinued?
I'm trying to get an alarm for my EM1. So far I think i'm going with the following
- Viper 5901 alarm
- Dei 507m tilt sensor
- Dei 513t mini siren
- Dei 520t backup battery
- Maybe a Dei 506t audio sensor
The biggest thing I really want is GPS tracking. Now is the Viper 210v discontinued? I believe mobileiq has taken over but I see the Viper 210v can still be purchased out there. If I buy this, can it still be activated? I assume it would be plug & play with the 5901?
Not sure if i'm missing something here with the Viper 210v or if there is another GPS tracker that integrates directly with the 5901. Any recommendations?

Viper 210v is a mobile iq unit from the start. Be carfull of the units you might buy on ebay. 90% are the old analog models that can not be activated. It has to be a the digital version. I have 10 units here off ebay members bought/brought and there analog. Mobile iq/dei dropped thoses units years ago and now there on ebay. I am not a fan of the new dei tracking system. I going to stick with mobile iq as it works far better then the dei unit.

I need the serial number and I can check for you. Yes the mobile iq unit will sence the siren wire to operate correctly. It does not plug into the bit port. Dei owns the right to that.
Here is a analog one!

To purchase the mobile iq unit, do I just go to air iq and order from them?
If you had the option of a 210v digital and a mobile iq unit, which would you choose and why?

^^ both are the same unit. So I would use either or. And the reason I know the analog unit is that I was there when they first came out and installed 100's of the unit. And had to replace the 100's of the units when they went digtal. Plus that case is the old unit that was never digital. Carefull on what you buy.

Have you had experience with the Viper VSM250 or DSM250? Looks like newer version of the smart start with GPS

I don't like the new dei unit even thou I carrrry them. I'll stick to the mobile iq units for serious gps installs cause it really works so well. I can't risk a change up and lose a car cause the app fails or the unit does not get good range in a full stealth install.
Big reason. The mobile iq unit has its own decicated back up battery. Dei does not. Think security not brand or ease.
