Default Painting Engine

Do we have a "how-to" discussing how to paint an aluminum engine?

I've got an assembled shortblock that I'm looking at painting. With what methods & products have you guys had good success?

I'm looking to paint it to bring it back to a "new aluminum" look.

I was looking at using a degreaser & pressure washer to clean the shortblock, then wiping down with some type of prep solvent (suggestions?). After cleaning prime with a high temp primer (suggestions?), and shoot with a good high-temp engine enamel (I was looking at VHT's NU-Cast Aluminum).

Suggestions & first-hand feedback would be greatly appreciated.

High temperature spray paint. Its what I use on everything for my car. I got it at autozone for like regular priced spray paint. And aircraft paint stripper real easy to use works in 10 mins, great stuff. Use paint stripper to get old paint off. After that is done, do about 2 coats of primor let them both dry, than 1 after the other and after dried, 3 or 4 coats of the paint.
