I have had my 89 si for about 4 years , everything in the car lights up except the climate control, I have never went any farther than just checking the fuses, the climate control works fine, it's just never lit up ....Any ideas? are all the bulbs burnt out? if so where would I get replacements

 

I know this is going to sound a little cheezy, but try hitting the side of your climate control, not hard but just tap it a few times. Mine was the same way at one point and it may make the bulbs make contact a little better, this also works for the cluster. I have since taken the climate control apart and cleaned the contact areas and have not had any trouble out of it since then. You will need to be very careful no matter what you do because the plastic is very brittle on these things and will break when you try to remove it, so if yours is not broken you may want to consider that.

lol, I actually know what you meen sometimes i have to hit the cluster to get a few bulbs to light up, I tried it on the climate control and it doesnt work

The bulbs should be the same as in your cluster, the smaller ones. The Climate Control - thingy in itself is a bitch to get out so you can change the bulbs...

 

So can I buy the bulbs new from honda?

 

you could buy the bulbs from there, but it will be expensive.
What I started doing is gathering old gauge clusters and salvaging the light bulbs from them. The big ones work on corner lights and the small light for the tails, the little bulbs work for the climate control.

 

I can't remember the number off hand, but any retail parts stores stock them... I always replace mine when I have a dash apart for any reason.
