its not that they want to be different. Its that they want to draw as much attention to themselves as possilbe. In this case, less is more.

You'll likely see a lot of shiny, sparkly crap... body glitter, shiny skirts, and shirts... because people have this weird notion that the opposite sex is attracted to flashy lights, and bright colors.

Oddly enough, chicks seem to like most APC products.

Girl: "That looks like an Accord! Look at that Civic with underbody neon, and light-up thingies on the hood! OH MY GOD! HIS TIRES AND MUFFLER LIGHT UP!"\

 

for the record...

my friend with the 4 door Civic w/ Chromallusion flames, yellow rims, and air ride gets TONS OF WOMEN... whereas my friends with turbo's, JDM front ends, etc. have trouble.

True exchange:

Girl: "Your Civic needs rims."
Friend: "Uhh, these are Volk GT-N's"
Girl: "They look like the wheels on a police car. You need chrome 19's."

 

And those of us with actual game don't need a car to attract the opposite sex. We're actually good looking enough to do what we want to out car and use our stunning looks to get all the women we need.

It's too bad some guys need Pep Boys to help them pick up girls.

Usually when I meet girls I am at a friends place, or at school, or at a party, and the girls don't see my car until after I have got them interested enough to get into it
I don't pull up to girls while in my car who are walking around campus, and say "yO bAbY, dRoP dAt ZeRO aNd CoMe wIT a HeRo. yOu seE ThiS CrOmE bABy, dAt's ReaL APc hOneY."
I did date a girl that was turned on by guys who drive aggressively, and trust me, it worked
