i took car to clean off the motor on my 93 del sol s to make it look nice and saw a disconnected clamp... thought 'what the heck?' and plugged it in... well cleaned it up and started driving off rolling the windows down all of a sudden then stopped and my cluster just shut off... i disconnected the wire checked every fuse... no idea what it could be ...any ideas?

it was the clamp that came from the tranny if that matters

i was trying to sell it but with in like this kinda hard :/ plz hlep


edit: i looked up the wiring diagram and found that all my problems are on one fuse... but when i go to check the fuse its fine.... i have swapped it just to be sure.... i was going to just take a positive wire right to the fuse to see if that works...( if the wire broke before the fuse box?) would that be bad? or be a smart idea?

get any under hood fuses wet?

check through inside and under hood fuses?

hit the cluster with a tap....does it come back on?

and yeah i checked both
and ill try that in a min but i dought that that works because the clock also doesnt work

Your cluster could be dead. Before you cleaned up your engine, was the cluster working? As suggested earlier, maybe the connectors got wet and shorted out also?
