96 Accord. Are A/T and M/T ECUs the same?

I think these cars have a separate trans. control module but I am not 100% sure.
I have a 96 4cyl M/T accord and I think the ECU is bad. Can I use any 1996 4cyl ECU on my M/T car?
BTW, M/T is manual transmission...
Thanks in advance
If any one here knows further please read this, tell me what you think.
The car was "molested" by the previous owners so I can't trust the wiring.
The AC clutch was rigged to run off of the AC condenser fan. Good idea but the AC clutch engages every time the coolling fans come on, even with the AC button off.
So, There are 4 wires at the AC/clutch relay. I have 3 figured out and I was checking the 4th wire. The wire is a RED/BLUE and it goes all the way to the ECU at A17.
I did a continuity test and sure enough no continuity. I ran a new wire from A17 to the relay and found out that I am getting 10 volts out of A17 with the AC button on or off.
I don't think I should be getting 10 volts out of A17 at all times , so that's why I think the ECU is bad.

The TCU's are built into the ECU. IIRC If you had to you could use an A/T ECU in a M/T car, but not the other way around.
You should be seeing battery voltage from A17 whenever the compressor is off. Pin A17 is for the A/C clutch relay. With the compressor running it should show 0v and with the compressor off you should see battery voltage.

That's why I think the ECU is bad, I get battery voltage at A17 either with the AC on or off. As soon as I turn the key to I, I get voltage there.
