Default What exhaust should i get?

Hey guys i'm looking to put a exhaust system in my car. I want a stock look cause, cop's love polling modified cars over where i live. I want a deep sound (not the high pitch). I have about $250 to spend. Dose not have to be a full system, maybe just a muffler that will make my car sound good and deep.

Seriously, thats not enough money to get a decent exhaust. And if your vehicle is stock its a waste of money

He actually gave one requirement, that it look stock. That's the only muffler I know about off hand that would pass for stock without a close inspection

What kind of car model year? I know 96 and up civics have axle back sytems and you can get one for about 200 bucks, gives you a deeper sound, or a muffler shop can build you one.

Keep this in mind if the cat back pipe is old, chances are it is shot and might have to replaced anyway.

i put an ep3 muff on my eg. had it welded at a very very slight angle cause if i straighted it out, it would hit the brake line. Looks and sounds sexy as a ****

I found just an RS-R axle back in mint condition not to long ago for around the price you're looking to spend. It looked great and sounded amazing!

Beware of Vibrant , they are known to be very loud. I think the sound would attract the police more than a shiny muffler. Ive heard Yonaka exhausts and they are not loud but has a deep tone. Ive seen for around 250 shipped.

^^ x2... Apexi Ws2 or the yonaka knockoff are both relatively inexpensive and have a stock look, and a mild tone to it...

I actually just bought a Yonaka catback for my sedan. It was like 260 shipped off eBay. The fit is really nice, it is tucked up like it should be. The tip sticks out about an inch. The muffler is a straight through design, but all the videos make it sound pretty quiet.

^^^Sounds terrible.
I run one of these. They don't make 'em anymore. They were made by Holley. "Gangsta."

Ehhh, I'd shot my civic if it ever sounded like that.

Check out the apexi Nori(i think) or the WS2, it's shiny but it's quite.

Of course you know, running with a "test pipe" or no cat will make any exhaust sound like ***.

Apexi WS2 looks like a stock muffler on steroids lol. it has a nice mellow, deep tone. nothing to attract too much attention.

I have a rsx type s axle back for sale but my vote on exhaust would be Yonaka. I just bought one and I LOVE it. I have several exhausts on my car and this is the best one yet. I have it on a 00 Civic Coupe w/d16y8.
