Default B20 vtec turbo won't rev past 3grand with dsm 450s and chipped p28

Ok I just turbod my b20 vtec crx. It has dsm 450 injectors with resistors and a chipped p28 for now. The car idles fine with no cel but won't rev past 3000 rpm. The ecu is still setup for all motor. Also I did run the car for about 1 minute with the dsm injectors but WITHOUT the resistors wired up (didn't realize it was such a biggest no no until recently). Do you guys think I just need a tune or did I fry my ecu?

Yea it won't go past 3k rpm but idles great. And no the chipped p28 was chipped when the car was not boosted and had oem b16 injectors

pull your wastegate spring out, put the stock injectors back in and dont beat on it until you get it tuned.

I've been repairing OBD1 ECUs for 3 years now and that's a simple fix. I can do it for $50 shipped. Look me up on PGMFI.ORG...

It's my project Im just going to let it sit until I get the money for s300. Also today I pulled the plugs out and they are covered in fuel so I'm thinking it just needs tuned.

I can do an s300 installed in your P28 for $550 shipped including tracking and insurance. The s300 is NIB and I have to remove the existing socket to replace it with the s300 vertical pins. If this is not done properly/carefully, there is a risk of damaging the ECU.

I can also sell you an s300 installed in one of my P28 equivalent ECUs for $650 shipped including tracking and insurance. PM me If interested.

if you actually NEED the featured of an s300 i can understand the waiting and saving. however, if you don't just spend the $350 or so on a full dyno-data log tune on crome. crome is free and in good hands it's absolutely fine for a setup that doesn't need boost by gear or the ability to run a solenoid
