94 gsr brakes problem help plz
I have a 94 gsr integra and the brakes are progressively dragging more and more unless i give the pedal a little stomp then they release but come right back and it gives my car a bad vibration im afraid its gonna warp my rotors does anyone know why this could be id like to fix it today.
If water gets past the rubber boot on the piston, it rusts and sticks (solution, calipers).
If water (or lack of lube) happens to those pins the calipers slide on, it can stick there too and cause a similar result. They have rubber boots also, and so the grease inside can get compromised and the bolts corrode.
Calipers fix both - and a single caliper runs 30-40 at Costs Less around here (by memory).
You can try disassembling the pins/boots, cleaning them with brake cleaner, lube, and reassemble and see if that helps.
I think for the piston - best is to just replace the caliper.

I had that happen when I got a pinhole leak in my caliper boot.
FWIW I sucessfully cleaned the caliper and it's now working fine. I used a lot of PB Blaster to loosen things then hammered the caliper off of the pin. More PB soak + scrubbing with a wire brush and cleaning pad, (and a new boot) and it was working again. Not sure how long it will last, but it saved me having to buy a new caliper. Replacing the caliper is probably the most long-term solution, however.

The best way to test brake calipers is to unhook the brakes from axles and have someone else press brake slowly see if your getting a full extension from calipers. If not gently remove rubber boot and check for ANY rust if you see rust just replace them if not then reconnect and try to do a full bleed on the system may just have a air bubble or debris in the line somewhere. Brake fluid should be changed at least once a year to keep a good braking system
Good Luck and sorry for any typo's
