Old School Honda Challenge Anyone?
I was browsing youtube and came across a user posting up older honda challenge races from way back when. I figured some of you might be interested. They sure brought back some memories for me.
http://www.youtube.com/user/hoopla1414 Thats the youtube users home page. Just sift through his videos.
I also noticed that a lot of it is in car from Chad. Hmmm

If you are looking for old ECHC memories ...
The first 2002 site before the inaugural season started
The 2002 site circa June 2002 before Round 2
The last ECHC site I ran circa Aug 2003
All the pics and results from the first season all there on the 2003 page under archives.

Wow those websites are really from way back when. Speaking of way back when...Does any one know what the hell happened to Pete Curpier and his brother Adam? Last I remember he created some monster hybrid H22 block with a b series head and that was the last I ever heard from him. Anyone know if he is still doing custom kitchens and what not?
Speaking of AJ...did he ever go any where past that VW TDI Jetta cup series? I was rooting for him the whole way. If I remember right he did fairly well so I figured he might get picked up by a team.
Oh and Kevin Helms? He totaled his hatch at a hyperfest a few years back. From what I know him and John went in together on a world challenge rsx. I'd love to know how he's doing now. He was one of the most knowledgeable guys I think I've ever met.
Guys I'm sorry if this seems like random ****, but I'm just randomly remembering stuff from the days of old.

btw-hoopla14 is the one and only chad. about as old school in the honda challenge game as they come.
Mr. Baker from 32racing.net bought at least one ITR from them and runs it in H2
AJ from AJNealeyracing.com is still around. Taking the season to recoup and revise his plan and open his own shop ( ajnealeyautomotive.com) . He has been seen in a spec-e30 and an enduro-prepped s2000 this year. We hope to see him back in a pro ride for 2012.
Kev wrecked the blue and yellow one last year. But its all back together and dominating H1 my a ton!! He was super fast at hyperfest this year. I hope to see him at NASA Nationals winning H1. He did go partners with Whitaker and they have been running SCCA events including world challenge with some good success.

I first started doing it in 2004, not as old school as the other folks. After the big race in 2007 things just got put in the back burner. I plan on getting the car back up running tho.

and i'm working on getting all my videos up....found an easy way to do it!!
for me. Its been a while. I guess H2B wasn't all that common back then. I remember him saying he made a lot of stuff from scratch to get it to work. For some reason I had in my head that he put a b-series head on an h-series block; which I had been thinking was impossible from the word go.
Post up those videos Chad, I'd love to see them.
