96 accord wont fire up
i had a dizzy go bad so i went and bought a new one from honda put it in timed it all up and now it will try to fire up but will only fire 2 or 3 times then thats all she wrote so i checked fuel and spark and real blue spark and getting fuel i was told it jumped timing but before the dizzy went out the car ran like a top! i dont know what to do....im so fed up with this f22 to the point im goin to see how much a junkyard will charge for a h22 but any ideas to the problem would be nice! thanks mike!
100psi on all cylinders and i have the firing order on the dizzy cap as 1342 does the f22 block rotate clock wise or counter-clock wise? still stumped about this so yall please help me out in the best of ways yall can Thanks mike!
The F22 rotates counterclockwise when viewing it from the cam gear and crank pulley side. Make sure you didn't get the distributor shaft 180 degrees off.

Second, make sure you put the ground back on the thermostat housing. Ive seen this at least a dozen times when guys do intake manifold swaps or replace head gaskets.
Third, double check your cam timing.
the car has 275k on the clock....she is begging for a rebuild but dont have the money for a rebuild but before the dizzy went bad the car ran like a top! put a new dizzy in and im greeted with this head scratchin BS!
got the car running but it has a high idle around 1,200 and 1,500 but i think thats because of the cat being gutted......how would i lower the idle back down to 900rpm?
Disconnect you IACV connector off the IACV, adjust the idle screw on top of the TB clockwise to your desire, shut the car off, plug the IACV connector back in, remove the radio fuse under the hood fuse box for at least 10 sec, plug the fuse back in, start the car up, do not touch the gas pedal for one min so the ECU can adjust to the new settings, and you're all good after that.
