will octane booster from the store help with emissions?
I am taking the car in for emissions this week. I'm not sure it is going to pass. what little things can I do to help my chances? octane booster? retard or advance the timing?
I don't have an air/fuel controller, but I know that would help. the stock cat has about 100k on it. I know a new cat would help, but I would want a high flow cat, and that is probably only as effective at burning residual fuel vapors as the old cat I already have.
Your thoughts?

and a 91 crx with a b16a, short ram intake, and a thermal exhaust

I wouldn't worry about the gsr since it's relatively new, especially if you've taken care of it. I haven't smogged my B16 crx cuz the B16 isn't in the car. I don't have to either being in Sugar Land.
Make sure both cars are warmed up nice and good so the cat(s) can do their job.
