is this bride gias real or fake?! I have no clue ???!
I just picked this seat up.. real or fake I got a decent deal.. It was the drivers seat in my buddy's miata when he bought it.. He has another set of seats so he turned it onto me. I have read many many threads that say the difference between the real and fake.. but here is the thing.. I HAVE the authentic alluminum side brackets, and the bride tag with japanese on the back, I also have the tee's bride super seat sticker with all the writing on my bucket.. and everything on the seat is REALLY nice.. I mean, it looks legit as fuuuu.. I just can't tell.
so here are some pics, please lemme know what you guys think..
the seat.

all the velcro inserts... super nice stitch quality

the bare seat.

the tag in the seat pan.. it looks legit to me.. say's bride, mentions tee's, has japanese writing ect ect.. dunno if I can look up these numbers to verify ????

tag on the side.. I'll show front and back.. from all the pics of real vs fake this is the one that is shown as an example of a "real" tag.. has the ghost thingy on front and japanese writing on the back side.

this is a pic of the whole in the upper part of the seat.. say's bride..

the whole rear side of the seat..

the aluminum bracket on the side of the seat.. has the word bride cnc'd into it.. is aluminum as far as i can tell.. very nice piece, def not something I would think I would find on a replica IMO..

and here is the kicker... the bracket on the side has the 3 pegs that is shown in all examples as a fake... notice the **** also say's bride as well.

and last but not least this is the tag on the metal part of the bottom seat pan..

Sorry if the pics are small.. all taken from my cell phone.. but as you can see, there is alot of pieces and parts that make me think that possibly the seat is real.. but the bracket with three bolt thingy's make me think that it might not be.. is it possibly I have legit parts mixed with non legit parts to make 1 seat?! Give me your opinions please guys... The more people with ACTUAL experience with a bride seat I would greatly appreciate your input!!!

From: nothing is real unless it is observed
Aluminum=Real
Steel=Fake
I also think the real aluminim brackets are bare and not painted like yours appear to be.
Use a magnet to be sure.
I had a set of the eBay seats, not bad at all IMO. The welds on the fakes make it obvious, lots of splatter.

Also, look at the velcro on the bottom of the cusions. I know the real deal ones are clean, squared edges and straight. The fake ones are normally inconsistent on their lengths, shape, etc.
Well... I guess that answered it. The magnet stuck to the bracket, making them steel.
the welds are nice though, lol. Also the velcro is all perfect, in nice straight lines, well trimmed ect.. the fit and finish on this seat is awsome, which lead me to asking if it was possibly real... oh well, I gues I'll let the cat out of the bag, I got the seat for 200 bucks, so not a bad deal anyway for a nice seat, real or fake.. still I wonder if parts of my seat might be legit and some not.. :\
