hey HT i have a eg6 gsr with a godspeed turbo kit the turbo is great makes good power on 8 psi with a 50 trim but the only problem i have is that if im just stopped and i wana rev my engine when i let the gas go i DO NOT hear the bov scream i dont relly hear it at all but when im at almost red line or drivin till i hear it spool i hear it fine n clear n i love the sound and other turbod friends that i no can just sit there rev it a little and i can hear theres any one now why this is or if i can fix it so i hear it when im stopped thanks

This is because the engine is not building enough pressure to be able to vent to the atmosphere while "revving". Some MAF based cars, like your typical monkey-driven DSM and Subarus have the ability to do that, but it doesn't make them any faster than yours.
Don't worry about it, and don't stress. Be an adult and just drive the car. As long as it vents when it counts, its irrelevant.

so no matter what i cant do that? that sucks i love the noise. especially when people ask how my bov sounds liek i cant just rev it i havt to drive them around the block
Launch control will build boost on the spot. I know ignition cut does it quite well, i'm not to sure how well fuel cut does it. I would imagine it should build it a bit though. Look into it...

i got a hks ssqv bov im putting on soon mayb i got like a boost leek or sumthing people say the greddy bov is known for that and the hks one is impossible to have leak so that cud b it
well one of the other forums actully anserd it eith "If you havnt opened your bov then you should and you will find 2 springs inside of them. remove the softer spring." i guess il try that
The dsm guys have a 2.0l with a turbo half the size of your 50 trim and there exhaust wheel is tiny. So when they rev up there lil turbo, it's spinning fast enough and creating enough air to make there weak bov go off.
Make sure you don't go to a smaller spring causing the bov to open way to easy and loosing boost?
Welcome. Hell when my buddy brought over hes 20g( which is rated for 450hp) the exhaust wheel is still smaller then a .63. The bov still blew off just not as much. But for ****'s just put a 14b on your car and show off your bov sounds. Hell we even put a duck call on ares back in the day when it was cool.

The 14b comes stock on the 1g 5speed dsms. I wanna say about 40% of honda guys run these turbo because there cheap reliable. Then when they get the money or just wanna go faster they start buying the good parts. It gets addicting
