Default B16a ef

Wanting to rewire my b16a in my 91 Ef hatch wondering what would be a better option to go with being that I want to convert to obd1. Find a full obd1 harness or obd0 harness with obd1 jumpers??

sounds like you are using a first gen b16? is your car already mpfi or dpfi? offhand, i'd recommend using the obd0 harness and some jumpers. if you need to do the mpfi swap too, you might want a standalone harness like rywire, etc.
it depends on how much time you want to spend and how good you are with wiring.
if you get an obd1 harness, you may have to change some of the plugs to fit your obd0 engine sensors.

You cannot use any other harness on your car other than what matches your chassis harness:

Ex.
89 Hb dx......89 Hb si harness will not work
90 Crx si......obd1 b16 harness will not work

In order to get these to work you will need to rewire your chassis harness so that it matches the new engine harness. IT IS ALWAYS RECOMENDED that you modify your (or a replacement harness matching your chassis harness) stock engine harness to accept the new motor. You can convert your stock harness to obd1 along with all the other needed components for an obd1 conversion.

I can build you one if one is needed, feel free to pm me.

Thanks really good information and yes it is a first gen. The car actually is obd1 converted but the harness is very hacked up and is converted to mpfi.
