Is it for looks or does it actually have a performance usage???

 

i saw this last week on facebook. imo i wouldnt spend money on it until i needed a new one. cheaper than honda and im sure you could still re-use the parts needed to make complete.

 

Its just a cover. Would you rather want a fruit of a looms white tee or hanes?

 

its definitely not just a cover! it's the full bottom assembly with your stock solenoid bolted on top. Sammy i dont think your talking about the same thing as the OP. Op is talking about this here: http://cms.skunk2.com/id/709/B-Serie...VTEC-Solenoid/ its just for looks if u want to buy one; more bling for you. no one has had problems with their stock OEM solenoid. for 120 bux i think ill stay with my OEM solenoid.

 

Skunk2 has sold a solenoid cover for years, but yes...this is a new product...a new solenoid itself!

As for performance, no. All it does is open an close for oil in the head to activate the vtec lobes

 

Honestly, I wouldnt touch skunk2 with a stick when it comes to performance, but that's just me.

It's just bling for baller points. The OE solenoids are super reliable, except for O rings and seals.

 

ok you people are stupid .. its just for looks .. its a cover .. ur stock internals for the vtec solenoid goes inside of the skunk2 case .. THEN you bolt the top on
