Default A/C blows warm air

The A/C in my 94 ex is blowing warm air. The original compressor was bad so I put a known working one on it. The compressor kicks on and the clutch spins along with the condensor fan as well. I also checked and made sure that the mixer was all the way over to cool. I turned it to hot also just to make sure that it was working properly.

I recharged the system so that it read 25psi but the air was still very warm. I then charged it a little more and kept checking until I reached 35psi and the air is still very warm. I didn't want to charge it too much so I stopped. It doesn't seem to be leaking it out or anything either. So I'm not real sure what to check next.

Was this compressor new or used?

If you have gauges I would check both low and high numbers.

Could be the expansion valve in the dash. I forgot what the numbers were to verify, but that comes to mind.

Did you flush the system after replacing the compressor?

Prior to recharge, did you deep vacuum the system for at least 2 hours?

Did you replace the receiver/dryer?

The compressor was used. And RonJ@HT I did not do anything of those things. Not sure I have the proper tools to do the deep vacuum or a flush on the system.

You have to have a shop do it properly.

I hate to say it if it was used I would get a new one, you can get them for under 300 bucks and have a shop install it, or at least install it yourself and take it to the shop to vacuum it out fully, just so you know it is right. And get a new dryer they are cheap like 25 bucks.
