Default Body cutting into tire didnt happen before 205/45/16

Need some opinions. I have brand new Dunlop Direzza's in 205/45/16 on my integra. Im sitting on koni yellow sp3's as i have been for years. While changing my brakes i noticed the upper section of the wheel well where the fronts have apparently been rubbing. The right rubs far more then the left on driveways and turning but i thought this was just an outside fender well issue. I didnt see any damage on my driver side wheel so i figured it was just a tiny bit of rubbing here and there that cut away the plastic but on the passenger side the tire was cut in the center front to back in some spots. Obviously theres an issue with left and right height which im still tryin to figure out. The issue im addressing however isnt the height since thats for the suspension forum. I had 205/45/16 Yokohama avs on the car before and didnt have this problem. Why would this happen now? The only similarity in rubbing i can recall is a bit of outter fender rub but to a lesser extent even with the yokohama's. The attached picture will show the section im talking about. Im curious if other people have had this happen and if people have done any modification (bending or cutting) of this area to compensate without having to give up desired ride height. If modifications have been made, are there adverse effects on this part of the body? Im not slammed though its slightly tucking the front tires and i didnt expect a tire spec that ive run before thats also pretty close to stock size to end up getting cut into (though i coulda sworn i was at a zero gap no tuck before). I should add that prior to this i was running with 205/40/16's between the yokos and the dunlops just in case anyone was wondering but thats somewhat irrelevant. Hopefully i get some responses here otherwise i might be better off in the integra forum.

Even though the tire is listed as the same size as your previous Yokohama's, doesn't necessarily mean that they are truly the same size. Many brands manufacture their tires to slightly different specifications. Dunlops tend to run on the bigger side of the table. Its sort of like buying shoes from different manufacturers.

As for a solution to the rubbing, I think I've seen several people bend that lip line in or even flat. I have seen the slammed cars cut it and re-weld the structure arm above that crease line to re-enforce the structure.

Thanks for the response. I knew some tires are a bit different then others even for the same size but i didnt think it would be enough of a difference to go from no cutting at all to a deep cut. Id guess 1cm or less. It almost looked like tread depth lol. Ill get a picture of the tire if i can.

Also can i get a mod to move this to the integra forum? I think itll be good to hear from people with the same car and tire size cuz im sure other integra owners have had similar experiences.

To add, i think im gonna raise the fronts. I have koni yellows with the 5 perch adjustments and all around is sitting in the middle which is typically 'stock' positioning. Been this way for 5 years. But this is only a temporary solution as i dont want to ignore the problem just cuz i raised it a bit. Its mainly happening on the passenger side and i know theres something else going on. It seems lower by bit and the tire is closer to the fender.

haha ok i just noticed youre a mod toyomatt. Could you help me with the move to the integra forum?
