hello,i have a 1993 integra 1.8L,manual.this car cutoff while driving,jut goes off, also it cutoff with car ruining on parking.the car start right back,no bad sound,shaking.car cutoff while running and i cab start by just turning the key, i can start the car again,today while running an air sound like bufffffffffff came from muffler.battery is new,starter is new...any idea.i think it has to be fuel or ignition but no sure...any suggestion?

 

my money would be on ignition switch(which has been recalled by honda on some vehicles for this issue), main relay or dizzy.

Its a rectangle little black or brown box that says "MITSUBA" on it. My original was brown and replaced it with OEM black one.

Its under the drivers side dash board. This pic shows the cover removed.

 

since this is my son car,after checking the car myself i can give more and better information
the car start fine,sometimes while driving and with car running on parking the car cutoff,it doe shake abit before going off,. sometimes it does make the pop,detonation sound but does not cutoff.randomly while driving like 50mph the idle(rpm) drop to zero,and i do let go the accelerator,then it backfire and the rpm go back up. any idea...thanks
