Long time reader, First time poster

I have a 88 Crx dx project. I Bought the car 10 years ago so I can not contact the seller at this point about the sunroof. From what I have researched 88 dx did NOT come with a sunroof, so it's dealer or aftermarket.

I have been saving this part of the body work for last and need to know what my options are. I would like to put a sunroof back in it but I am not finding anything on dimensions for a fit.

What can i do? Other models that fit? Find any as long as its same size or larger? Or just plug it? New skin all together?

Inside You can see the thin spots in the fiberglass and they look very thin

 

whoah. what the hell is all that crap? RUST?? if so, sorry, you need more than a new roof skin. youll need to do a lot of work to refurbish that...

but the short answer is replace the roof skin. theres no possible way the OEM sunroof assembly is going to work. take the skin off, fix the rust, and put a new, undamaged skin on.

 

Its not rust, its the glue added underneath headliner. only rust is on the four cuts, two on each side.
