Hey folks, can someone find me the Part number for the 5th gen lude(non SH) transmission? Mine just broke and I'm shopping for a new one right now. Upgrade out of necessity as I always say.

I need the Honda Part number and if you can post ratios, that'd be great too. Thanks!

 

Dont know the part #, but here are the ratio's between 4th gen and 5th gen Vtecs. I personally would shop for a 4th gen one.

5th gen gear ratio
1st: 3.285
2nd: 1.807
3rd: 1.266
4th: 0.966
5th: 0.787
Final Drive: 4.266

4th Gen Gear ratio(Vtec)
1st: 3.31
2nd: 1.95
3rd: 1.36
4th: 1.07
5th: 0.87
Final Drive: 4.27

4th gen VTEC tranny

I would get that one and put it in a 5th gen... Lower top speed (who needs to do 155 anyways?), but much better acceleration in 4th and 5th gears..

 

Part number or transmission code? The transmission code is M2Y4. I dont know the part number, but any dealer parts department can tell you if you ask nicely.

 

go to http://www.hparts.com You can probably find out through there. Just send them a quote, and they should be able to tell you how much and what the part number is
