Default k series motor swap?

I waas just wondering if anyone could tell me if I. Could possibly do a motor swap with a rsx and keep the full stock type of setup. That's way the car is quiet and reliable, and good on gas, but has tons of power if I need it! I have a 2000 civic .ex.....also can u do the 6speed like the rsx so that it does ever better on fuel? I'm just real courious on how hard it is to do that setup in my car..or if anyone else has tried it and liked it!? Thanks guys ..sorry. for all the questions, I'm. Just wondering about it all in my head so I figure who better to ask! Lol also can u keep ac and all those goodies?? Thanks!

What? I'm not sure what you're asking but I would go to k20a.org.
http://www.k20a.org/forum/
Hope you have deep pockets.

Again; Do you have deep pockets?
Go to K20a.org. They have parts lists and can answer any question more accurately than anyone here can.
You really should try searching in teh future.

K20+500hp+$5K? Not gonna happen. Get realistic.

Yeah, $5,000 will barely get you the engine, never mind all the parts needed to complete the swap.

Yeah, you really gotta search more, these are very common questions that every new guy that comes in here asks. You got to figure after answering them 16 million times, people get sick of it :-P.

They're def. right about the K20, you may JUST get the motor in your car for 5k, not to mention fully building it to handle numbers like that. A stock K20 has the ability to put out like 230 or so at the wheels if memory serves me correctly once it's tuned with something like k-pro in its fully stock form.

As for the CTR motor you're interested in, do yourself a favor and ignore it - it's a waste of a motor, IMO, and parts will be hard as heck to find. The reason why I don't like it is because just like the B16A, before 4-5k you don't notice any difference, so it feels like you're driving around a stock D15/D16..so for daily driving you don't even feel the upgrade that you dumped plenty of money into unless you hammer it.

Go with a 1.8 - the GSR is a good, solid, motor, with fairly common parts, that you can probably have in your car for under 5k. Probably couldn't boost it, but it'd still be quite nice.

One thing you have to remember when boosting a civic/teg motor to 4-500hp, is that you're GOING to need to build the block - which means you're going to need to drop a hefty amount in a machine shop if you want to do it right...that's on top of the motor and swap components.

Tons of people want to do swaps, look around, use the search feature, you're not the first to have this question. Though the budget is too small...and you realistically can't expect somebody to list "every part, boost gauge to motor mounts" - that's just not realistic. To both of you, do some reading...a lot of reading...

Ks cost at a minimum 7k and that's basic IE: no ps, ac, stock shifter, basic cables, custom axles and no tune.
your looking at least 10k

honestly if your gonna boost stick with your EGs engine and build it for boost.
if your gonna go NA pick up a B18c1

Unless you can post a breakdown of cost by parts/labor then this doesn't say anything.

well labor he did him self. but he found someone on this site selling a k20a2 long block with tranny, engine harness, charge harness, conversion harness, axles, kpro, headers, intake manifold with sensors, innovative engine mounts with brackets, shifter box, shifter cables, karcepts shifter plate, SARD FPR, OBX fuel rail, and then the lines and fittings for it and the guy sold it to him for 4500.

It was a deal I'd say but that doesn't mean that there aren't any out there. you just have to be patient and look around and negotiate with some people.
