need help with my 1994 accord
So my dashboard and tail lights went out all of the sudden.....I checked the bulbs- they're not burnt out; I checked the "small lights" fuses- they're not blown but I changed them anyway- no there's no popping sound; I saw that this is fairly common in connection with a new stereo which I have- couldn't figure out which wire was the "dimmer control wire" (no owner's manual)- so I disconnected the whole thing; I even tried removing the negetive contact on the battery and then reconnecting to reset the electrical. ALL NO JOY!!!!! i work at night and commute roughly 50 miles, I really need this remedied ASAP any ideas?
did you cut the old plug out? if you did, did you keep it? if you kept it or even if you didnt, go to a parts store, locate a stereo install harness, find out which one is foe the dimmer.
now that is out of the way, if you still have the old plug, locate the location of said illumination wire. if you cur the plug out, locate the wire that matches. ....... boom, you should be on the right track. now, if you were anything like me, you might have tossed that one out. go to a junk yard, either cut one out, with space to spare(so you can splice into your setup, or remember the color combo for said wire.....

so it turns out that the tail light wires were burnt from poor grounding and a depleted battery. i had the wiring redone and the battery charged and everything is working great!!!
