OKay you guys will need to use your imagination to picture this.

I bought a H series hatch, took it out to put a b series in. I noticed when I put the motor in that the side (transmission side) bracket where the mount is had been cut a little and a new hole had been made. Now that I have a B series mount, it does not lign up with the hole. It is like an inch away. There is not enough bracket. IDK what to do now. I was thinking to weld 2 metal plates on each side of the bracket to serve as an extension then drill a hole and place the mount there? I am not sure how to go about this. What do you guys think.

 

You can buy that bracket from the dealership for around 15-20 bucks. Drill out the spot welds on the old cut one. Weld on the new one and you'd be as good as new
