Adjusting CMC rod cause slipping?

Adjusting CMC rod cause slipping?
Can adjusting the clutch master cylinder cause slipping? By making the rod longer with adjustment would that cause a slipping situation? I was trying to move the clutch engagement lower and I think it caused slipping......
