2000 integra gsr spurting after like 2500 when accelerating slowly
Sorry if i explain this horribly but it's the best i can do i have a 2000 integra gsr with the whales ***** intake so the sensor which plugs in wont reach i have skunk 2 pro series intake manifold i have type r replica headers with vibrant exhaust and obd1 with type R map ECU. when i drive normally and i am either accelerating slowly or just crusing at anything over 2500 it starts spurting kinda like an automatic bb gun or something lol if this could be many problems just list the main ones or causes it may be pretty much if it's not the problem i still learned it (-:
Just had it in the shop cause the o2 sensor. havent heard TPS. some kid said i need my ecu flashed? The main thing im hearing is spark plugs and/or wires? or my distributer?
I had the same problem today in my B20 teg.
the CEL came on so I checked my codes and got a 3 which is map sensor.
Do you know how to chech the CEL codes?
That is gonna be your's first priority, once you see what the code says then you can replace the problem.
Good luck

1.Check them Cels code helps resolve alot of issues
2.What i cud say off exp.(Vavle Adjusment,o2,Distrubutor/Plugs/Wires,TpS,Fuel/Clog Fuel filters/Low octane/Cheap gas) Spark/Fuel Delivery & Timing Main Reasons
3.G/L lol

did the cel pop up after this started happening? Did it happen suddenly or was it after some changes you made? Could be unrelated to your cel. Step by step though, take care of the cel and see if it still happens.
the light has been on since i bought the car i was told it was cause the "sensor that hooks into the intake isnt in cause i have the password jdm power chamber intake so it wont reach. the only thing i have done recently is put the obd1 with type r map ecu in but it randomly started like a month after putting that on. and its just gradually getting worse and now it's backfiring more often like when i shift into second and 3rd?
I dont know anything about that sensor so you should probably search around about it. If thats not it then i would do what others suggested, check your distributor system. I had a problem that didnt always occur but it only happened between 1500-3000 rpms if it did and it would drive like it was stuttering. Was a distributor problem. I forget what specifically but i think ICM. Theres a step by step ignition trouble shooting article on team-integra.net.
Check the resistance in the coil. Should be 0.6 -0.8 ohms between the terminals on the coil where the blk/yel and wht/blue wires come from. 12.8-19.2 k ohms between the secondary terminal and the terminal where the blk/yell come from. ( wires should be disconnected ).
Check the resistance in the spark plug wires. SB 25k ohms Max.
Clean the rotor contact.
Check plugs of course.
replace fuel filter anyway if its time.
You can also check the voltages on the ICM in the distributor.
