Ran into a problem putting new rotors and pads on my eg hatch with gsr front brakes.. the rotors and pads are the right size but they barely clear the caliper mount and when I turn them they rub against the mount.. is this typical and they just need to be broken in or does the gsr caliper mount usually have plenty of clearance?

i feel like its wrong and not big enough for the rotor any help is appreciated

 

update- they are def GSR calipers and caliper mounts i just dont understand why the rotor rubs a little on the sides of the mount

 

Just to get a little more info, bracket and caliper part numbers and exact rotor, not size.

 

What knuckles are you running? You need Integra knuckles or ones from a Civic EX/94 Si hatch with ABS.

 

17CL14VN is the caliper code and the brackets look just like these


the rotors are just OEM replacement Wearever rotors from advance auto

it was just a bunch of rust and dust buildup making them rub alot then i took a wire brush to them and they clear the bracket now but rub a tiny bit when they turn

 

So, machined to fit? How much off and are the rotors centered? As ask above, what knuckles?

 

well they look like the ones above without that machine work i didnt even notice that in the pic..

dont know what knuckles it has i got the car with the gsr brakes but i can get a picture
