I want to put a LS TB on my y8... what about the difference between IACV and the FITV??..
from my searching that the FITV is on the TB as opposed to a manual d16y8 TB which has the IACV located on the Intake manifold..
would this be a problem running the fitv instead of the iacv??
also any (MAP/TPS) be off??
some people say the LS TB on a Dseries is straight Plug and play..
Please help. Thanks in advance
btw keep the negativity outta here please! thanks again!

FITV and IACV do similar, but different things. FITV causes a vacuum leak when the car is turned on, but closes that leak once the car is warmed up. It can be problematic so I suggest you open it up, and turn the big screw by hand all the way in clock wise. They also sell FITV delete plates.
You will still have to use your IACV, just leave it connect on your manifold. FITV doesnt have a spot for the plug, its all manual. B series have both FITV and IACV.
B TB will be a direct bolt on to your D. There will be no problems with MAP or TPS unless the sensors themselves are malfunctioning.
Youre not going to notice any power gains unless your manifold is port matched, and even at that the gains will be small.
