I am trying to change my spark plugs because my car won't start I can't get the spark plugs out. I have the right tools

 

If your car wont start you probably have bigger problems than your plugs...

Firstly, are they receiving spark? Second, is your battery in order?

Why can't you get the plugs out? Its just supposed to be 1/4 turn counterclockwise and they are loose, then i usually use the plug boot to pull them out..

What car do you even have? you havent told us anything that can help..

When you claim that you are having difficulties removing the spark plugs from your engine, were you able to loosen it up about a quarter of a turn and then it seized? If this is the case then unfortunately you may have cross-threaded the spark plugs. You could rectify this issue by ordering an entirely new head (although I would advise against this because new heads for your Accord run about $1,000 or so at discount OEM parts sites such as http://hondapartsnow.com and even higher from dealerships ) OR you can purchase a tap and re-tap, ensuring to vacuum the metal bits that accumulate during the process. It's always better to go down the latter route whenever you cross thread spark plugs on account of its cost-effective nature.

Stupid question here but are you certain that you have the correct spark plug socket?

 

I had the battery recharged and the car is a 1995 honda accord

 

your story is a little vague. if you could be more specific and descriptive it may help us to help you.

for instance, why can't you get the plugs out? can't break them loose or can't get them out of the tubes? does the motor spin but not start up? the battery was "recharged" but was it load tested?

 

If you have them loose but can't grab them, you can use a small magnet to pull them out. But hondamark35 is right. We need more detail.

 

he shouldn't try to remove the plugs in the first place...

he didn't confirm if he try to jump-start the vehicle, eventhough he stated that he recharged the battery... did he LOAD tested it afterwards???

more details is needed or this thread will stay open and unanswered forever

 

Yes the motor spins but won't turn over I took the battery to auto zone and they tested the battery and charged it

 

ok, that helps.
checking for good spark, proper timing and fuel are next. maybe that's why you were trying to get the plugs out..? i've never come across a car that quit running because the spark plugs were just that bad.. (they'll run like garbage but not fail to run). although changing the plugs (along with the rest of a tune-up) isn't a bad place to start, it's really better to identify the cause first so that you're sure you've fixed it when you're done. no spark seems to be most common and can usually be traced to a handful of components in the distributor.
