Guys,
I recently got DC5 black cloth seats for my EG from a shop that imports swaps and clips from Japan. They look just like these, minus the side airbags:

My question is... were side airbags an option for USDM DC5s, or standard? I ask because most if not all the pics of RSX seats I find online have the side airbags on them. Perhaps mine don't because in the Japanese market they were an option?

yes they all have them in the states. You my friend have some awesome seats if no side airbags. Take a photo for me. Never seen :D

Thanks for confirming. I'll see if I find a few minutes to snap a picture tonight and post it here. I am actually getting ready to sell these because I just picked up a set of ITR front and back seats that bolt right into my hatch, so I don't have to make a custom bracket to fit these in my car. These seats are in much better shape and look better, though.

Yes, from a safety standpoint, no doubt. But every little pound saved counts for most people, especially in cases like mine when you'd be replacing the lighter EG seats with these.

when mine start wearing out i might try to hunt down a set thats in perfect condition...but i think that's gonna be hella hard

 

EP3s have the option of with or without side airbags

In canada the side air bags were an option for the base model. In the US, they are standard on all trim levels.

In the US, ep3 side airbags were an option.

Please let me know honestly, I would be glad to edit the Ad if I am wrong in any way.
All I know is that I got these from Honda Kings in South Florida the day I got my swap (they get cargos from Japan every few weeks) and that I've yet to see black cloth DC5 seats without side airbags.

damn i want those myself lol No airbag cloth RSX seats. To bad they aren't the 05-06 model all black. The 02-04 has that funny middle section style

 

so how much did you get the seats from? and how much did you sell them for?
