Last week after pulling out of the local automatic car wash my check engine light came on instantly before leaving the car wash.. thought it was a lil strange never had a light on before. My 1st thought was gas cap not tight or maybe I had forgot to stick it back on. I had gotten gas few hours prior.. anyway as I'm driving down the road after leaving car wash thats when I notice speedometer not working at all. Or just randomly bouncing radically around... So I ordered a new Vehicle Speed Sensor online for it, get it put in today. Still have the check engine line on as well as the speedometer acting weird from time to time.. At times the speedometer acts fine, but has moments where it'll jump around and act crazy.. Anyone know what this could be??... I've been told now it could be the gauge cluster, or it could be electrical/wiring problem.. Kinda puzzled not for sure what it is, just have alot of ideas. Really thought the speed sensor would solve this issue!!! PLEASE HELP!! thanks

 

Is the light flashing? Can you pull the code for it? Get under the hood and check for water everywhere. In the spark plugs wells and inside the distributor cap.

 

Is 7.5A dash fuse 15 blown? If so, click on the Fuse 15 TSB in my signature.
