Since Monday I've heard a weird noise coming from my driver side wheel. (at least that's where it sounds like it's coming from) The noise sounds like a screeching noise like where your brake pads are completely worn and you hit the brake, but it makes the noise while driving. It actually stops when apply certain pressure on the brake pedal, but then starts back up when I get going again. I'm not very knowledgeable when it comes to diagnosing problems so I appreciate any help I get.

yeah, does sound like the brake pad wear indicator. but if its more of a whining maybe a wheel bearing. Sometimes it could be as little as your dust shield for your brakes is a little bent, and its rubbing on your rotor.

I had the same problem today,I heard brakes scraping but my breaks are good so it might be the WB.

So check your' pads and if they look ok it could be time to get a bearing pressed.

Also make sure the telltale is not bent in to far, I have seen that more then a few times. 94
