Default need help with PIC coilovers

I think I mighta ****ed with my pre-load but I have PIC apex's and there are 3 rings. The way I lower my car is loosen the bottom ring, and use a wrench to turn the most upper ring which spins the whole shock body into the sleeve.

I was lowering my passenger side just fine and then it suddenly got stuck while I was turning the wrench so I ****ed around with the rings and basically for some reason I can't turn the shock body anymore, when I turn either of the top 2 rings they just spin against each other rather than spinning the whole shock body...anyone know what's wrong lol

If I turn either of the top two rings they just spin away from each other or get stuck spinning towards each other

Did you try to lock the top 2 rings against each other tighter then turn?

Yeah lol it's weird because when I try to lower it both the rings will move together freely on the shock body rather than moving the shock body inside to lower the car lol

okay so I'm pretty sure I found out the problem, I THINK there's something stuck in the threading of the coilover and when I was lowering it I kinda jammed it in there so that's why it's not moving the whole shock body, I've tried liquid wrench, WD40, and I even attached a bar to my spanner wrench for more torque so I could move the shock body out but it's fckin stuck...anyone got any suggestions?

Woah there turbo, be careful bud. Using a bar on the spanner wrench is a big no go...it shouldn't be that difficult to turn.

Are you sure your threads aren't ruined somehow? You should try taking a picture of all angles if possible to shed some more "light" on your situation, take some pictures from the back of the shock/coilover too. That may help you figure out why its stuck.

PS- Have you tried calling PIC customer service by chance?

GL bud.

Yeah, I'm pretty sure my threads are fine but there's something stuck between them so I can't raise/lower it...I was able to before when I was lowering it and then I think something got jammed in between, my coilovers are less than a year old and I've lowered the car more than this before (a couple months ago) and it was fine so I'm sure it's nothing with the threads
