I pulled an EX harness from a 90 civic and my car is an 89. I dont know if this is a multipoint thing (si or EX) or if its from all 90-91s. what plug is this? it plugs into the engine harness and only one of the wires from it runs a different way which is to the relay for the fan. its a small square plug where you plug the engine harness into the main harness

 

That is all 88-91' MPFI harness's that I am aware of. The extra plug is for the extra wires for a MPFI distributor and if I remember right the power for the injectors?

 

why are you worried about it if your car will now be MPFI? im assuming you grabbed the matching engine harness.


every time you attempt something you run into problems because you forget to LABEL. or you have a really bad memory.

 

I do have a horrible memory but I know what it plus into because I have the corresponding engine harness. Im just trying to stay informed on anything that changes between the two wiring harnesses

 

apparently the resistor box plug was cut off and now I need to solder a new one on. does it matter which wires go where to the resistor box plug? cause theyre all red with a black stripe

 

Nope... Doesn't matter on which wires go where (aside from input and output of course).
