Default Could this be the thermal valve problem?

I just got my h22a swap done in my 1992 accord and the idle has been fine for a few days but all of the sudden the idle goes real high then drops real low it flucuates. Then after it warms up it seems to stop. Could this be the thermal valve and its under the throttle body right?
p.s
when im driving and let off the gas the RPM's drop then come back up.

Make sure you clean out the throttle body and the hoses that are comeing out from it. If that don't work then unscrew the thermal valve and if its dry then thats your problem.

Clean your Idle Air Control Valve (IAC), and throttle body. Then adjust the Fast Idle Thermal Valve (FIT) if required.

There are 2 or 3 threads in the FAQ that cover how to do this. Or search for threads with the topic "surging idle".

Were the coolant lines all hooked up between the FIV and the intake/thermostat housing?
