Spark Plugs
Got a 95 Accord V6 2.7L here and i'm gettin ready to replace my spark plugs soon. This is my first car and first time ever shopping for plugs, so just looking for a little advice. For what i'm willing to spend i've narrowed it down so far to NGK GP Platinum or NGK V Power Copper. Has anyone here ever used either of these and can recommend one or the other? Or does it even matter that much? Thanks for any input~
It all comes down to how often you are willing to change the plugs. If you do a quick google search you will learn that copper plugs work great as long as you are willing to replace them every 20k. Copper plugs offer a cheap cost and are the best conductor of voltage. Platinum and Iridium are both "harder" metals and more rare so they cost more. They both conduct voltage, just not as well as copper. The benefit to a harder metal is a longer service time till replacement.
Most Hondas are easy to change the plugs on....unlike some manufactures that require intake removal to replace the "back three" plugs.
Hope this helps.
BTW I use copper plugs in my '95 Accord EX 2.7 (only 76K and runs like a new car!)

Ah, thanks for the input man. Guess i'll just go for the platinums. My car isn't modded except for CAI and cat back so i guess longevity is a bit more important than performance.
NGK v power copper is what I have. I only use NGK for Japanese vehicles.
As mentioned, copper is the better conductor, you just need to have a 20-30k mile interval of changing them instead of the 50-100K mile intervals.
I'd rather have the shorter interval because 1) its easy 2) it gives you the change to see how the engine is performing on a cylinder by cylinder basis

I think the best value is the NGK G-Power or Denso Platinum TT
Each is only about $3 and will give you much more durability than a regular copper (v-power)
