Turbo B16 all of sudden running horribly
I just got my stock block B16 Turbo tuned on June 1. Made 365WHP and 225Tq at 17 PSI @ 8500 RPM Tuned at IMW by JK tuning on Neptune Eprom. It ran great since I got it tuned. Decided to take it on an hour road trip yesterday, barely hitting boost at all. Driving Home I noticed it felt a tad bit sluggish on small inclines on the highway. Hit boost in 2nd gear by my house and the car would build boost but not accelerate as normal. I'm getting back firing and sputtering too.
After a quick visual inspection nothing out of the ordinary. Pulled the valve cover and drained the oil with no visual carnage. Could it possibly of jumped a tooth on the timing belt? Id say the timing belt is on the loose side. I could probably slide it off. It starts and drives but it kinda sputters and doesn't accelerate as usual even when out of boost. Im not throwing any codes through Neptune either. Any tips or things to check would be greatly appreciated.

OK. They were put in on June 1 with the tune. John Kerr my tuner suggested I go with BKR8E in the future cause of the compression and power I'm making
ya after my car was dynoed with new plugs and a couple of passes it was time for some new ones.. i always ran bkr7es on a stock gsr on E85..

depending on the plugs you use they can be fubar. the ngk race non-resistor type plugs i use i can only get 6 to 7k KM on them before it runs poorly and begins to missfire.
Im running open downpipe so theres always a small gas smell. The timing was checked when I got tuned on June 1st. How can I check timing again? I dont think the clutch is slipping cause its not raising through the RPMs as if it was slipping. I replaced the plugs today and took it for a spin and it still has all the same symptoms.
Pull the upper timing cover and make sure the "UP" marks on the cam gears (if OEM) are pointed in the up direction. There are two dashes that should face eachother and must be dead on. Your harmonic balancer must also line up "white" mark on the pulley to the "dashed" line on the lower timing cover.
I checked that and everything lines up as it always did. If the timing belt jumped a tooth would it still be all lined up? I'd say the timing belt is on the looser side. I'm gonna do a compression and leakdown test later this week. Already sourcing an LS/Vtec cause I have a bad feeling about this.
Get a garage to check the timing for you using the cam gears and crank pulley as you seem a bit unsure. If i was you if you think that the belt could be loose then get them to give it a check to. Its better fitting it correctly now than having it slip badly in the middle of nowhere.
Did a compression test today here are the results
Cylinder 1 - 175
Cylinder 2 - 165
Cylinder 3 - 170
Cylinder 4- 175
Not sure if it matters much but Ive had a weak crank since I installed the motor and I did 15 cranks to get these numbers

Check battery voltage in Neptune while driving and see what you got..
my 2 cents.
Swapped out the distributor with no affect But I advanced the distributor (rotated towards firewall) and it made the car run a lot better. Its still not perfect but runs 100 timers better then it did before I advanced it. What should my next route be?
