Need Help - AEM ems on J32 - custom harnes
coils 1/5 are wired together for wasted spark. When i turn the key to the 2nd position, they both spark together once. When i crank the car, they both spark together once as well. None of the other coils spark when turned to the second position, they are wired together to pin b10 on my 30-1060 which is where they are supposed to go. Any thoughts as to why aem is having them fire when the aem gets power?

There are a couple of things to look for. What EMS are you running? What are your settings on coil 1. Make sure your wiring is correct.
its a 1060 box. My tuner came over and looked at it today and we also had aem on the phone and no one had a clear answer. I checked all the wiring and it seems correct. im using coil outputs 3,4,5 only one of them works correctly. One does nothing at all and one sparks once when the key is at 2nd position. All the coil wiring is correct.
The 1060 box wasn't really designed for that engine. The 30-6051 was meant for the J-swapped cars. Who did all the wiring or did you use a jumper harness. If you used a jumper who's did you use? What year is the J32 from and what vehicle? Is it Coil-On-Plug or distributed?
i got the 1060 box for a really good deal and it was before they released the box for the j-series. Today i figured out the cam/tdc sensor is wired wrong. Would that cause the coils to spark like the way i am describing?

would the ems j series solve my problem with the traction control light and the cel codes that the obd is showing because of the swap? I have a 02 accord coupe with a j32 tl and cl 6speed tranny?

yes it would eliminate those issues.
Figured out my issue. There is a short in my harness. the power and ground feed for all the sensors are connected together...

Well i actually thought it was a short/pwr and grnd were wired together since thats what it showed on the multimeter but now when i check it when its off the car its not doing it anymore so i assume either a sensor is bad or a sensor is pinned wrong.
