Default H22 Turbo Manifold Need Help Deciding*PICS*

I have a fully built H22 Turbo motor that I finished building. this is my first time in the whole turbo game.. I have heared alot of bad things about stainless steel manifolds.. Cracking to be more specific, what I was wondering is the cracking to to the extra weight from the turbo, heat and poor bracing? this is the manifold I wanted to pick up it is stainless and it looks solid it was braced very well that I can see and it has nice clean welds what do you think??

yes sir you are correct. I dont buy the crap normaly but it looks decent and im waiting for my ram horn to be made out of mild steel I just wanted to see if this would be a decent manifold in the mean time. this is the one I bought but its gonna take hime 2 months or more to make it cuz it is made after you order it..

if you went with that ebay one just try to figure out some way to brace the manifold from under the turbo like off the block or something and you should be fine.

I was just thinking, what if he had someone go over the welds on the ebay manifold with a tig or something? ie. give it like another round of tig welding on all the welds? Would it hold up then or is the actual metal crap too lol?

well it would help out to a certian point but part of it definetly is the metal that they use i would at least go over the brace welds at least once on my old d series turbo i had same mani and all the braces broke off when i was pulling on it on the freeway.

but im sure with re welding and making a brace of some sort it will be all good to go

Hopefully the company making your ram horn, realizes it will not clear the hood with an h22 in it. H22 sits higher up and more so on an angle back so the top of the ram always will hit the hood.

Main reason we came up with this design.

Hey guys thanks for all the good replys! I was gonna for sure make a brace with either manifold just to take stress off the manifold cuz turbos are heavy..

im sure if you are paying top dollar for your manifold it wont hit. such as the expensive nice ram horns on b-series clear fine. but the cheap egay ones wont. i would just ask the guy who is making it for you if it will fit your applicantion im sure he will know.
