Hasport will always be more due to their quality mounts they have. I will be getting the rear and the tranny mount soon for my H; already have the LH mount.

I will eventually be running ESP's mounts. I was referred to those from a friend. They seem to have good feedback.

Do the engine mounts typically go bad on these motors anyways?

They are rubber and they will break down over time. Is it something that wears out at a regular interval, No.

Whether you seem to think they are bad or not really depends on you. If you don't notice that your engine is shaking at idle and/or moving back and forth excessively under load. Then you probably wouldn't know that your mounts are bad. Some people don't even notice that the mounts have gone bad until they have completely gone. In this case the owners hear a metal on metal clunk every time they shift from P/N into a gear and start moving.

From my experience the front mount will go first, the others can last up to 200k miles or more.

What options are people using for replacements - aside from the performance? I'm thinknig about replacing but dont have any reason for performance mounts.

If your not looking for performance mounts. I would suggest an OEM replacement from the dealer or an online Honda Parts store. HondaPartsOnline.com

I've seen these poly "inserts" are those worth anything or are they garbage?

I use the ESP mounts on my car, like them a lot. If your looking for a better performance style mount these are great. Fit well, price was right, and definately eliminated the motor movement.

They do increase the vibration you feel of the motor like any performance mounts, so be warned.

The polyurethane inserts are only as good as the mounts you put them in. If your mounts that you put them in are old and worn, they will not be as solid as with a new mount. The aftermarket mounts from ESP would be the best bang for your buck. If your looking for poly.

Or you could look up the DIY about 3M window weld mounts.

I have a feeling that my front motor mount might be going bad and I'm thinking about replacing. I was thinking about doing the poly bushing inserts at the same time to improve longevity. If pricing is the same as doing the front mount with a full poly bushing though, then I might as well do it the right way by installing an ESP or similar poly bushing in its place.
