so i been trying to fix my fluctuating idle for a while now i did the iacv and fitv cleaning. idle screw turning. vaccum leak searching. timing correcting. coolant system sealing. pretty much everything i could find online and in my trusty haynes manual to fix idle problems. i had some chatter under my valve cover so i did my valve lash this morning and sure enough my idle is now smooth as silk panties. so all you people out there with idle problems im not saying its gonna work for you but i did work for me try it out after you did everything else.

 

If everything else is in order a good valve lash setting will have you idling unbelievably smoothly.
